Because acne healing takes time, it’s normal to experience some purging, inflammation, or fluctuations in the beginning stages of the program. The goal is long-term skin health and sustainable results — not quick temporary fixes.
Consistency with treatments, homecare products, and lifestyle recommendations all play a major role in your overall progress.

Yes, both the Clear Skin Journey Package and the Clear Skin Maintenance Pack have specific expiration dates to ensure you get the most out of your treatments.
Clear Skin Journey Package: All 6 biweekly treatments must be completed within 90 days from your initial consultation.
Clear Skin Maintenance Pack: All 3 monthly treatments must be completed within 120 days from your first session.

We understand that life can get in the way, and we want to make sure you get the care you deserve. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid late cancellation fees and ensure we can find a new time that works for both of us.
Late cancellations and no-shows: If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before your appointment, you may be subject to a $50 late cancellation fee or forfeit the session.

If unforeseen circumstances arise, such as illness, travel, pregnancy, or other significant life events, please reach out as soon as possible. Reasonable extension requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Most clients continue with maintenance treatments every 4–8 weeks, along with a customized homecare routine. Graduates of the program also have access to the Acne Maintenance Package, which includes discounted product restocks and priority booking access.

f you choose to discontinue the program before completing all your treatments, you may be eligible for a partial refund for unused sessions. Refunds will be calculated based on the full price of any services already received (not the discounted package rate), minus any applicable fees (such as late cancellations or no-shows).
If you are discontinuing due to extenuating circumstances (such as medical issues or relocation), please contact us as soon as possible. We’re happy to discuss flexible options or possible accommodations on a case-by-case basis.

A chemical peel is a professional treatment that exfoliates and resurfaces the skin using a blend of acids to target concerns like acne, pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, and uneven skin tone. It gently dissolves the outermost layer of dead skin cells, encouraging cell turnover and revealing brighter, smoother skin underneath.
The peels I perform are either light or medium depth:
Light peels require little to no downtime—you can go about your day as usual.
Medium-depth peels may involve mild peeling or flaking and can take up to a week for full recovery.
Chemical peels are a great way to refresh your skin, but they must be done at the right time and with proper preparation to ensure the best results!

For Face Reality Peels (used in the Acne Program):
✔ No need to stop using active ingredients before or after treatment. These peels are designed to be effective with minimal downtime and work within your current skincare routine.For other chemical peels (e.g., BioRePeel or medium-depth peels):
Stop using active ingredients (retinol, salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs, etc.) 5 days before & after your peel.
Avoid waxing, sugaring, or laser hair removal for at least 5 days before & after your treatment.
If you’re on acne medication like Accutane or Retin-A, consult with your doctor first. These may need to be discontinued at least 1 week before your peel. Otherwise, we’ll opt for an alternative treatment that’s safer for your skin.
If you have a cold sore or fever blister, your appointment must be rescheduled. Peels can trigger flare-ups, so let me know if you’re prone to them!
☀ Avoid sun exposure & sunburns leading up to your appointment—this will make your skin more sensitive to the peel.

Your skin will be cleansed and prepped to remove surface oils, ensuring the peel penetrates evenly. Any sensitive areas (like around the eyes or lips) will be protected.
Depending on your skin’s needs, one or more acids may be applied, such as:
Glycolic Acid (from sugar cane – brightening & exfoliating)
TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) (targets aging, sun damage, and deeper pigmentation)
Salicylic Acid (oil-soluble – great for acne & congestion)
Lactic Acid (hydrating & gentle exfoliation)
The peel is applied in layers, with sensations varying from tingling to warmth—this is normal. Some peels require a neutralizing solution, while others self-neutralize and will stop working on their own. If needed, a fan will be available for comfort.

For Face Reality Peels:
Minimal to no downtime—most clients don’t experience any visible peeling.
Skin may feel slightly dry or tight for a day or two.
SPF is a MUST—your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun!
For Medium-Depth Peels:
Skin may look pink or slightly red and feel tight immediately after.
Peeling or flaking typically starts 2–3 days post-treatment. This is normal and part of the process!
Sun-damaged areas may darken before they lighten—this is also normal.
Deep peels can cause peeling for up to a week or more. An enzyme treatment or gentle exfoliation may be scheduled after the peeling phase to smooth out the skin.
Avoid picking, rubbing, or exfoliating the peeling skin—this can cause irritation and hyperpigmentation.

For Face Reality Peels (Acne Program), you’ll continue your regular skincare routine unless I advise otherwise.
For other chemical peels, I’ll recommend post care products to keep your skin calm and hydrated while it heals.
Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours (mineral makeup is the only exception).
Avoid heat, sweating, or excessive sun exposure for a few days.
Stay hydrated & use gentle, soothing products to nourish your skin.
Peels work best when done in a series for long term results, so depending on your skin’s needs, we’ll create a personalized plan to keep your skin glowing, clear, and healthy!
